Your NetID

Every OLLI member receives a NetID, which is your digital “ticket” to Northwestern's electronic resources. With an active NetID you can access the Library's restricted resources from off campus---connecting to LexisNexis Academic, Project Muse and Grove Music and scores of other proprietary databases. A new “EZProxy” system enables you to gain access without installing any program or configuring your computer.

The active NetID, plus a password, is also your admission to the university's computer labs, the university online directory and the Course Management System (Blackboard).

For access to all these free services, you must activate your NetID and implement a personal password. This requires a brief visit, with your current WildCard, to the “help desk” in Kresge Room 1-423 in Evanston (see http://www.it.northwestern.edu/offcampus/support-center.html) or to the SCS Computer Lab in Chicago at Wieboldt Hall Room 415. The computer lab in Wieboldt 415 is open Monday - Thursday 12:15 - 9:15pm, Friday - Saturday 9:15am - 5:00pm (when classes are in session) and is closed on Sunday.
