Class Hours and Schedules

Most degree and credit professional development classes meet for three hours once a week for at least 10 weeks during the fall, winter and spring quarters. Classes meet on the Chicago, Evanston, or Loop (210 S. Clark Street) campuses. SCS credit classes are scheduled on weeknights and Saturdays. Most classes on the Chicago campus are held in Wieboldt Hall, 339 East Chicago Avenue; most Evanston campus classes are held in Walter Annenberg Hall.

To satisfy standards of accreditation, full class sessions for each week are required. Each three-hour class session should include a 15-minute break sometime near the mid-point of the class. Scheduling the break at one end of the class, to end the class early or start late is not acceptable.

For information on the schedules for noncredit programs, please consult Non-Credit Professional Development Programs page.
