Parking, Shuttle and Transportation

Chicago Campus

When teaching classes on the Chicago campus, you may park for a reduced rate in garages at 222 E. Huron St. and 321 E. Erie St., Monday through Friday, from 4 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The parking ticket must be validated on the 6th floor of Wieboldt Hall in the first cubicle south of the elevators to get the reduced rate. On-campus parking permits for the Chicago campus, valid for one quarter, are available through the Parking Office in Abbott Hall, Room 100, open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. Contact the Parking Office at (312) 503-8129 for permit fee information, or visit their website at http://www.univsvcs.northwestern.edu/Chicago_parking/.

Evanston Campus

You may park without a permit in most lots on the Evanston campus after 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, and in almost all lots during the weekend. This also applies to the lot behind the SCS office at 405 Church St. Please refer to the Evanston campus parking map for the location of parking lots. Parking is restricted in certain lots. Please note, on-campus parking before 4 p.m. is restricted to vehicles displaying a parking permit. For additional information, contact the Parking Office in Evanston at (847) 491-3320, or visit their website at http://www.northwestern.edu/up/parking/.

Loop Campus

You may park for a reduced rate at Traders Self-Park Garage, 326 S. Wells, from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays. The parking ticket must be paid in cash with the SCS representative at the Loop campus building at 210 S. Clark St.

Shuttle

The Intercampus Shuttle runs year-round from Monday to Friday, except for University holidays, between the Evanston and Chicago campuses. There is no charge for the shuttle service, however you must present your WildCARD ID when boarding the shuttle. All buses are wheelchair accessible.

The shuttle departs the Ward Building (just to the west of Wieboldt Hall) on the Chicago campus approximately every hour and makes multiple stops in downtown Evanston and on the Northwestern campus.

For schedules and maps, visit the Intercampus Shuttle website.
