Professional Graduate Series

Students interested in graduate course work in English and comparative literature who cannot make the time or financial commitment to an entire degree program can pursue a graduate certificate through the professional graduate series. Students have access to the same impressive array of literature courses taken by degree-seeking MALit students. They take the Introduction to Graduate Study seminar and three literature electives. Those who elect later to transfer into the MALit program may apply up to three courses from the professional graduate series toward the degree. Although the professional graduate series in literature is designed to be completed in one year, students have up to two years to complete certificate requirements and/or transfer into the degree program.

Certificate of Completion

Prior to completion of their fourth course, students must submit the "Application for Professional Graduate Series Certificate" (PDF Format) to be awarded the certificate.
