Northwestern University's Master of Science in Medical Informatics (MMI) program can give you the knowledge and skills you need to be a leader in this medical revolution. The medical informatics degree program is available in two delivery options—on-campus and online—making it accessible to a broad number of students seeking to pursue this innovative graduate degree program.

The MMI is an 11-course program that focuses on the principles of information management, design, integration, implementation, and evaluation, as well as their application to enterprise-wide health care information systems. The medical informatics graduate program is offered by the School of Continuing Studies in partnership with the Feinberg School of Medicine.

Northwestern University is the natural choice for students who seek a superior education at a nationally regarded research institution. As a partnership program with the world-renowned Feinberg School of Medicine, the MMI degree program offers students access to established leaders in developing and deploying health information technology (HIT).

Faculty of the program participate in setting health care standards nationally. Northwestern Memorial Hospital and Evanston Northwestern Hospital have both been listed as "Most Wired" institutions for six years in a row by Health Care's Most Wired Magazine. And like all School of Continuing Studies professional master's degrees, the Master's in Medical Informatics degree program provides students unique opportunities to interact with influential decision-makers from outside the academic world.

The medical informatics curriculum is designed for a diverse audience of students. It caters to health care professionals such as doctors, clinicians, administrators, educators, and researchers, as well as information technology professionals and other qualified individuals who wish to transition into this growing field.

Feinberg School of Medicine students can take advantage of the program's flexible course schedule in order to earn a joint degree (MD/MMI) while completing their studies in medicine. A special tuition rate for current Feinberg medical students is available.
