MMI Program Hosts Seminar on ICD-10

On October 17, the Master of Science in Medical Informatics (MMI) program hosted an online seminar on the topic of ICD-10 and its impact on clinicians. ICD-10 is the newest revision to the International Classification of Diseases, a medical classification list published by the World Health Organization. The seminar was led by industry experts Dr. Fritz Hofheinz, Chief Medical Officer at Intelligent Medical Objects (IMO) and Dr. Chip Masarie, Chief Terminologist at Intelligent Medical Objects. IMO, a leading health informatics company, specializes in developing, managing and licensing health care software applications that utilize medical vocabularies.
