SCS Students Awarded Research and Travel Grants

Luke Fidler

SCS students continue to distinguish themselves this academic year by earning a number of travel and research grants.

Jeremy Adelman, a post-baccalaureate student with a concentration in professional health, was awarded a research grant by the Provost’s office for his project “Examining the Effect of High Fat on Myocardial Cell Stress and Cell Survival During Ischemic Heart Disease."

Undergraduate art history major Luke Fidler (pictured at left) has won yet another travel grant from the Provost. Luke has been awarded more travel grants than any other Northwestern undergraduate student.

Ashley Thorne and Brooke Bachelor, post-baccalaureate students with concentrations in premedicine won the John & Martha Mabie Public Health Research Fellowship and will be conducting a research project in Bolivia.
