Online Programs
SCS offers online master's degrees and certificate programs covering a range of academic disciplines. Fully accredited, SCS online courses marry the best aspects of online technology with the interactivity of the classroom in a format designed to work with students' busy schedules. Many students question if there is a difference between a degree earned online versus attending class on campus. At Northwestern, students will benefit from participating in a prestigious program with no distinctions made as to whether the degree was an online or on-campus format. Regardless of the method of course delivery, the degrees and curricula are equivalent, classes are taught by outstanding Northwestern faculty and students must meet the same admissions standards. Online Master's Degrees
Four distinct online master's programs are available through Northwestern University School of Continuing Studies, in cutting-edge disciplines which translate to marketability in the workforce. Tying them all together is a leadership component unique to SCS, which prepares students for top-level positions upon graduation. The asynchronous course model uniquely fits the needs of working adults, allowing students to engage in course work at their convenience so long as all assignments and due dates are met. This pioneering learning method synthesizes readings, videos, case studies and data sets with homework to support mastery of the material. Hardware and software system requirements are listed for SCS online master's degree students.
Online Master's Degrees Offered in Partnership
SCS is pleased to support schools across Northwestern University in providing high-level master's degree programs online. Our partnerships help to connect prospective students to specific colleges which offer online programs. Each partnership's degree is conferred by the school listed.
Online Certificate Programs
Beginning in winter 2013, select courses required for post-baccalaureate certificates in accounting will be available online. These courses are also open to non-degree-seeking students-at-large. Choose a program from the list at right to view details about these online accounting courses.
