Advanced Accounting
This Advanced Accounting program is designed for those who have completed the Fundamentals of Accounting concentration or equivalent course work. School of Continuing Studies accounting courses provide in-depth and advanced knowledge of topics such as auditing, income tax, and cost accounting. Students who have already completed significant course work in accounting may use these continuing education courses to complete their course requirements for the CPA examination. Effective June 1, 2007, the accounting curriculum at Northwestern
University School of Continuing Studies has changed. The
changes reflect national trends in accounting education. They are based
upon a study
of top-tier accounting schools, as well as the recommendations of an advisory committee that included industry academic professionals.
