Programming
Offered by Northwestern University School of Continuing Studies, this program focuses on programming principles and
syntax using Java programming languages. It begins with an
introduction to programming and the object paradigm, then
examines object relationships and the design and implementation
of classes, such as fundamental language and program organization.
Emphasis is placed on the logic of classes and modeling of
behavior. Topics include basic constructs (I/O, loops, and
decisions), object behavior, state and identity object life
cycles, interfaces and relationships, class efficiency,
inheritance
and polymorphism to support abstraction, and specialization
of class types.
