The Northwestern University School of Continuing Studies Internet and Web Development program gives students the skills to develop Internet applications using HTML and other tools. Besides topics like web site design and Flash training, students research the use of modern networking technologies and the technical underpinnings of today's networks and the Internet. They use technology to meet strategic business objectives with a focus on Web-based interfaces and security issues, learn effective computer interface design and multimedia applications, and develop competency in communication technologies in an intensive studio/workshop environment. Special topics courses offer opportunities to experiment with emerging technologies. Courses are chosen from Information Systems and the School of Communication.
