Liberal Arts & Sciences
The liberal arts and sciences professional development programs
provide concentrations in pregraduate
teacher education, child
language development, creative writing (creative
nonfiction, fiction
and poetry), chicago studies, international
studies, and religious
studies. Creative writing courses are designed for
those who want to hone their writing skills, and they
are especially
appropriate for those who plan to apply to a graduate
program in creative writing, publish their own work,
or seek advancement in writing-intensive fields such as
journalism,
advertising, or publishing. The PDPs in child language development,
international studies, and religious studies can be used
as
stepping-stones to further study, career enhancement, or
personal satisfaction.
