Drawing on the research and teaching strengths of Northwestern University's Departments of Communication Sciences and Disorders, Linguistics, and Psychology, this program provides valuable insights into the complexity of child language development. This credit Professional Development Program at the School of Continuing Studies will be of special interest to parents of small children, students investigating careers in clinical professions, and child-care providers. Courses focusing on language development in children are particularly valuable for teachers, especially elementary school teachers.
