Advanced Topics in Financial Planning
As the Baby Boomer generation moves into
retirement, their financial objectives and planning strategies
are changing.
This major demographic shift is creating a growing potential
client base for CFP® practitioners and other financial
professionals who possess the knowledge and understanding
of more sophisticated financial planning strategies.
Our continuing education courses provide CFP® practitioners and other financial professionals the opportunity to potentially build on their knowledge by focusing on specific advanced topic areas. In order to become a strong financial planner, there is a growing need to be conversant in a wide variety of subject areas. This need often requires one to have a better understanding of more diverse financial issues such as business succession planning, business valuation, divorce planning, real estate analysis, financial asset management, and various alternative forms of investment.
Program Audience
Our Advanced Financial Planning Topics are tailored to
those who are looking to gain wider knowledge of more varied
financial
planning strategies. These courses are intended for experienced,
independent and corporate financial professionals. This could
include current CFP® practitioners, financial advisors
and planners, financial analysts, accountants, experts in
property analysis, insurance professionals, and divorce financial
planners. Within banks,
interested practitioners could include wealth managers, private
bankers, wealth strategists, and trust managers.
Learning Goals
This program will provide the financial professional with
knowledge to be an active and contributing participant
in discussions with their client and other members of
the advisory team. Each course will provide participants
with
the knowledge needed to more effectively advise current
and new clients who are interested in moving into different
or more complex areas of financial planning. This program
is not intended to make anyone an expert in any one topic
area covered.
