Premedicine and Professional Health Careers Programs
Take the classes you need to prepare for a career change to the healthcare field. Professional health careers certificate programs allow college graduates to take undergraduate science courses to prepare for application to schools of medicine and related professions (dentistry, veterinary medicine, pharmacy, osteopathy, podiatry). Additional concentrations are offered in clinical psychology, nursing, physical therapy and physician assistant. These certificate programs are for students who have a bachelor's degree but have not completed or have never taken the courses generally required for admission to these schools.

- Premedicine
Take the laboratory science courses in biology, chemistry and physics required for application to medical and related professional schools.
- Prenursing
Complete science courses in biology, chemistry, physics, psychology and statistics required for application to nursing programs.
- Preclinical Psychology
Take undergraduate psychology courses required for application to graduate programs in clinical psychology.
- Prephysical Therapy
Take the laboratory science courses in biology, chemistry, physics and statistics required to apply to most physical therapy graduate programs.
- Prephysician Assistant
Take the laboratory science courses required for application to most physician assistant graduate programs in the Chicago area.

- Students enrolled in these programs who maintain satisfactory academic progress are eligible for federal financial aid.
- These programs are for career changers. Students who have already completed the majority of certificate courses as undergraduates will not be admitted.
