Internet and Web Development
The Internet and Web Development post-baccalaureate certificate program gives students the skills to develop internet applications using HTML and other software tools. Besides topics like web site design and Flash training, students research the use of modern networking technologies and the technical underpinnings of today's networks and the Internet. The program utilizes the use of technology to meet strategic business objectives, specifically focusing on web-based interfaces and security issues, effective computer interface design and multimedia applications. Students develop competencies in communication technologies, most often through small workshop-based courses.
Program Goals
Internet and Web Development post-baccalaureate certificate students will:
- Learn how to use Web design and functionality as a critical communication tool
- Apply the fundamentals of Web design, programming, and development to create professional quality web pages, internet applications and online presences
- Develop a portfolio of Internet and Web development projects to pursue employment or freelance work as an entry-level developer or apply for more advanced study
