Organizational Behavior

This major will be revised to focus and clarify its structure. Two Organizational Behavior courses will be added to the requirements: ORG BEH 390-E Employment Law and ORG BEH 391-H Training and Development. Also, some psychology courses have been removed from the major to avoid overlap with similar courses from other departments represented in the major. Relevant Communication Studies courses, COMM STU 250 Team Leadership and Decision Making and COMM ST 360 Theories of Organizational Communication, will be added.

Semester: Organizational Behavior 30 semester hours (10 courses) (BPhil or BSGS) COMM ST 101 Interpersonal Communications or COMM ST 102 Public Speaking ORG BEH 301 Organization Behavior ORG BEH 309 Human Resource Management PSYCH 110 Introduction to Psychology PSYCH 204 Social Psychology PSYCH 222 Psychology of Training and Development PSYCH 306 Psychology of Personnel Methods One of the following: FINANCE 202 Quantitative Methods for Business MATH 110 Survey of Modern Mathematics PSYCH 201 Statistical Methods in Psychology SOCIOL 303 Analysis and Interpretation of Social Data STAT 202 Introduction to Statistics One 200- or 300-level course in psychology. One 300-level course in Organizational Behavior.
