Health Services and Health Insurance

School of Continuing Studies degree-seeking (part-time) students are eligible to enroll in the Northwestern University Student Hospitalization Plan and to make use of the services provided by the University Health Service. Coverage in this Plan is effective from September 1 and expires on August 31 of each academic year; applications must be made annually in the Health Services office. In order to enroll in the NU Student Hospitalization Plan, SCS students also must pay the Health Clinic usage fee each quarter. Students not registered for any term (quarter or semester) while enrolled in the Plan must also pay the Health Clinic use fee for that term. Payment of this fee provides access to the use of the services provided by the University Health Service.
