Special Course Offerings for Professionals: The School of Communication offers a package of courses specially designed for those in the communicative disorders field. Many of the courses are scheduled to accommodate working professionals' schedules. Qualified professionals may be eligible for a reduced tuition rate and participants may register for any one or more of these courses. Content includes a review of normal structural and physiological differences in oral pharyngeal function for sucking, chewing, and swallowing; atypical patterns; consideration of nutrition and failure to thrive; and intervention techniques.
