Student Status
Credit and grades information differs depending on student
status. The three types of students who attend Northwestern's
Summer Session are Northwestern day-school students, School
of Continuing Studies students, and visiting students.
What's My Status?
Visiting
students
- Students from other colleges and universities
- Teachers and professional educators
- Non-Northwestern students who are taking courses for personal enrichment
- Non-Northwestern international students
- Former Northwestern students
- High school graduates not admitted to Northwestern for
fall quarter 2009. (Note: Current high school students
may not take classes unless they are accepted into Northwestern's
College Preparation or Bridge Programs.)
School of Continuing Studies Students
- Students who were enrolled in SCS during the 2008 -
09 year or who file a letter of intent to pursue a degree
beyond Summer Session. SCS students are not degree candidates
in
any other school within the University.
- Northwestern
employees who are eligible for reduced-tuition benefits
Northwestern
Day-School Students
- Continuing Northwestern University graduate or undergraduate
day-school students who were registered in spring quarter
