Registration Procedures
- Complete the Visiting
Student Registration Form (PDF Format).
Eligible teachers and professional educators: to receive
the reduced tuition rate, please also complete the
Approval Form for Professional
Educators.
- If paying by credit card, complete the credit card authorization on the Registration Form for the non-refundable tuition deposit of $250 per course. If paying by check or money order, payment for the non-refundable tuition deposit of $250 per course must be made to Northwestern University. Please include the student's name on the check or money order. Visiting students must also pay a one-time, non-refundable registration fee of $50.
- Submit the Visiting

- Upon receipt of your registration
form and payment, you will receive a paper confirmation
via mail. You
are also
notified by phone if the courses you have chosen
are closed, at which time you have the opportunity
to choose
an alternate
course. For these reasons, please make sure the
contact information on your registration form is accurate.
The Office of Student Accounts will issue a bill for the balance due. The Office of Student Accounts does not accept VISA as a form of payment, and students will be charged a 2.75% processing fee for all credit card payments on the balance due. Late Registration
Visiting students may register for courses during the first
week of Summer Session, but will incur a $75 late registration
fee in addition to the $50 registration fee. We cannot
guarantee that all classes will still be available. Late
registration
does not excuse you from making up any missed course work.
Full payment of tuition, plus applicable fees, is due at
the time of late registration. Late registrations are accepted
Monday, June 22, through Friday, June 26, at the following

All students are invited to visit the Summer Session office
in Evanston for a special Late Registration Day.
The $75 late registration fee is waived only at this time
and this
location. In addition to registering for classes,
students
may also make registration changes, receive express
advising, and find out about summer events and activities.

Entrance Health Requirements
Full-time (3 or more classes) and half-time (2 classes) students at Northwestern are required to meet entrance health requirements. Part-time (1 class) students are not required to fulfill these requirements. This includes submitting the Admission Health Record and proof of immunizations as required by the State of Illinois. Visiting students are responsible for complying with these requirements. Please visit the Northwestern University Health Services website for links to frequently asked questions concerning the entrance health requirements and to access necessary forms.
