Evaluation of Transfer Credit

Undergraduate degree candidates may satisfy up to one-half of their graduation requirements with coursework completed at another institution. Transfer credit is awarded for academic courses taken at a regionally accredited institution, passed with a grade of C (2.0) or better, and similar in focus and classroom hours to courses at Northwestern. All previously completed courses not applied toward a previously earned bachelor's degree are evaluated for transfer credit, regardless of how long ago they were completed. Coursework applied toward a previously earned bachelor's degree is not transferable.

All transcripts from previous institutions must be submitted with the application for admission to the undergraduate degree program. Once admitted, undergraduate degree candidates must obtain pre-approval to transfer in coursework toward an SCS degree.
