Transfer Admission

Students who have recently completed college-level study at an accredited community college or four-year institution may qualify for transfer admission. To be approved for transfer admission, applicants must submit

  • an online application
  • an official high school transcript (or GED report) and official transcripts from all previously attended colleges and universities
  • a TOEFL score of 600 (paper version), 250 (electronic), or 100 (Internet version) if English is not their native language and have completed
  • a minimum of 24 semester (or 36 quarter) transferable hours in the past 10 years with at least a B average
  • transferable courses in at least three of the following distribution areas: humanities, social sciences, business, communication studies, and the sciences
  • an English composition course at another institution Transfer students are eligible to apply for state or federal financial aid, including loans.
  • a non-refundable $50 application fee

International Transcripts

Along with application materials, students with international transcripts must request that an official course-by-course evaluation of the transcripts (high school and college) be sent directly to SCS from a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (www.naces.org).
