Applying to Reenter
An application to reenter and one-page personal statement is required of students who have previously attended SCS but have not enrolled for three or more consecutive years. The personal statement should address what prompted your departure from SCS and why you are now ready to return to finish your studies.
If you have attended any colleges or universities since last enrolling at SCS, your also must submit official sealed copies of your transcripts from those institutions to complete your reentry application.
Reentry applicants may submit their application, one-page personal statement, and official transcripts (if applicable) to the Admissions Office, School of Continuing Studies, 339 E. Chicago Ave, Wieboldt Hall, 6th Floor, Chicago, IL 60611.
Students previously admitted into the bachelor's degree program will maintain their prior admission status. Students who were never formally admitted must complete the online Application for Admission and submit all official transcripts from high school and previously attended colleges/universities (see Application Materials Checklist) to SCS Admissions.
Students who interrupt a program of study for an extended period of time during which degree requirements have changed must adhere to the new degree requirements.
