Tutoring
Academic advisers can refer students to independent tutors
in certain subject areas. The Writing Place, a free tutoring
service available to SCS students on both campuses, provides
assistance to students who need help writing papers. The Writing
Place in Schaffner Library offers free tutorial sessions that
can address all aspects of writing. Staff of the Writing Place
in Schaffner Library are available from 4:15 to 6:30 p.m.,
Monday through Thursday. Students should call 312-503-8422
to make an appointment to use the service.
The Evanston-campus Writing Place, located on the second
floor of University Library, room 2304, also offers tutoring
in composition skills. Hours vary depending on class schedules.
